The NucleoCounter® SCC-400™ Somatic Cell Counter offers unique ease of use and effective and fast determination of the number of somatic cells in a milk sample.

The compact instrument fits perfectly in any research, reference or central laboratory function. The NucleoCounter® SCC-400™ is very simple to operate with only limited training in laboratory work.

Repeatibility Error

The figure shows observed repeatability error of three NucleoCounter® SCC-400™ instruments. The solid line in the graph shows the expected Poisson error, considering only counting error. These results demonstrate the good repeatability of the NucleoCounter® SCC-400™ method.

Comparison SCC-400™ vs. Flow Cytometer

Raw cow milk samples were measured on NucleoCounter® SCC-400™ and “Industry Standard” Flow Cytometer. Samples were heated to 40°C and measured on the Flow Cytometer. 250 µL of a milk sample at room temperature was mixed with 500 µL of Reagent C400 and measured on the NucleoCounter® SCC-400™. The figure demonstrates the excellent correlation between the two methods in the range up to at least 7,000,000 Cells/mL.
