Transcriptomic analysis of freshly hatched fish larvae offers insights into phenotype development, yet it remains uncertain whether it reflects parental influence or predicts individual growth. This research scrutinizes the transcriptome of 16 Eurasian perch (Perca fluviatilis) larval families (at mouth...

“Ethnopharmacological relevance: The increasing evolution of pathogen resistance is a global problem that requires novel solutions. Recently, an increased interest in ethnomedicinal sources can be observed in the derivation of new medicines. The return to traditional medicinal formulations handed down...

“Background Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from bone marrow play an increasingly important role in regenerative medicine due to their capacity to promote tissue regeneration in various clinical contexts. Applications include the treatment of osteoarthritis, bone regeneration post-injury, and the...

Background: Real-time quantification of radioligand binding to cells under in vivo-like conditions improves evaluation of clinical potential. Materials and Methods: SKOV-3 tumor cells were grown in a monolayer on a thin glass plate placed in a sealable shallow chamber with...

Cultivated meat production is a promising technology to generate meat while reducing the reliance on traditional animal farming. Biomaterial scaffolds are critical components in cultivated meat production, enabling cell adhesion, proliferation, differentiation, and orientation. In the present work, naturally derived...

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) secreted by human‐induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) have great potential as cell‐free therapies in various diseases, including prevention of blood–brain barrier senescence and stroke. However, there are still challenges in pre‐clinical and clinical use of hiPSC‐EVs due...

Environmental chemicals are a persistent and pervasive part of everyday life. A subset of environmental chemicals are xenoestrogens, compounds that bind to the estrogen receptor (ER) and drive estrogen-related processes. One such chemical, benzophenone-3 (BP3), is a common chemical in...

Microencapsulation of human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) via electrospraying has been well documented in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Herein, we report the use of microencapsulation, via electrospraying, for MSC expansion using a commercially available hydrogel that is durable, optimized...

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive disease that exhibits constitutive activation of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) driven by chronic B-cell receptor signaling or PTEN deficiency. Since pan-PI3K inhibitors cause severe side effects, we investigated the anti-lymphoma efficacy of the...
