How to Hide Protocols In the NucleoView Software (NC-200, NC-250, NC-3000)

Background

In the event that certain protocols are not used and you wish to have them excluded from the “Protocol Selection Menu” in order to decrease the possibility that a sample is run on the incorrect protocol, unused protocols can be hidden from the Protocol Selection Menu so they will not be visible to users. In order to Hide Protocols:

How To Hide Protocols:

**Please note on 21 CFR enabled instruments this option is disabled by default, but may be reenabled in the permissions section of the Tools> Options > Authorization menu**

  • Open the NucleoView NC-200 Software.
  • Click the “protocol selection” button.

Click the button labelled “Hide Protocols …”, found on the right-hand side in the middle of the Protocol Selection Window

In the window that pops up, click the box to add a check mark in the “Hidden” column next to any protocols you wish to hide.

  • Once you have added a check mark to the box corresponding to each protocol you wish to be hidden from view in the Protocol Selection menu, click “Save” at the bottom right corner of the window.
  • The selected protocols will no longer be visible in the “Protocol Selection” menu.

To ‘Unhide’ any protocols to make them available for selection again, open the “Hide Protocols…” window and uncheck the box in the column labelled ‘Hidden’ corresponding to the protocol you would like available, click “save” to close the window, and the protocols will be visible again on the “Protocol Selection” menu
