How to lock and unlock adapted protocols on the NC-200, NC-250, and NC-3000

Background

Adapted protocols are created by the user when the standard gates do not fit their cell population. Once these protocols are created, they need to be locked to use on a 21 CFR Part 11-enabled instrument. Alternatively, a locked protocol must be unlocked before it can be changed in any way. Below are the steps to lock or unlock an existing protocol.

How to lock an adapted protocol

  • With the NucleoView software open, right click the data set run with the adapted protocol and select “Start Protocol Adaptation Wizard.”
  • The Protocol Adaptation Wizard should pop up and click on Step 4.
  • Click the “Save and Lock” button in the lower left corner.
  • A comment box will pop up, and you can enter any notes that are appropriate. Click “Ok.”
  • Click “Finish.”

How to unlock an adapted protocol

  • With the NucleoView software open, right click the data set run with the adapted protocol and select “Start Protocol Adaptation Wizard.”
  • The Protocol Adaptation Wizard should pop up and click on Step 4.
  • Click the “Unlock” button in the lower left corner. Then click “Save” and “Finish.”
