Lysis 3 – Acidic Lysis Buffer is an acidic aqueous solution of surfactant and organic acid. The pH value is in the range of 2.00-3.00. Lysis 3 – Acidic Lysis Buffer is used for preparation of animal cell cultures for cell enumeration and viability assessment, to detach adherent cell lines, and to disaggregate cell clusters.

Lysis 3 – Acidic Lysis Buffer permeabilizes the plasma membrane, allowing homogenous staining of the nucleus by DNA-binding dyes such as DAPI. Please refer to the specific Application Notes for detailed instructions.
