Counting Nucleated Cells from Whole Blood
Counting aggregated cells with NucleoCounter® instruments
Nucleocounter® instruments offer robust and reliable solutions for counting cells in clumps and aggregates. They use fluorescent dyes to stain cell nuclei and employ a powerful algorithm to segment single nuclei within each smaller aggregate.
Counting of Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine
The NucleoCounter® instruments provide a robust and precise method to effectively determine viability and total cell count of MSCs derived from different sources e.g. lipoaspirates and bone marrow aspirates.
21 CFR part 11 ready software for NucleoCounter® Instruments
The NucleoView™ software for NucleoCounter® can be set into a restricted mode, so the user via the software itself cannot violate the 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
Image Cytometry VS Flow Cytometry – Apoptosis Comparison
We have employed an image based cytometer, NucleoCounter® NC-3000™, for quantifying different events in the apoptotic process. Compared to flow cytometric analyses (BD LSRII), NC-3000™ demonstrated accurate and precise determination of phosphatidylserine translocation, Caspase 3/7 activation and depolarization of the mitochondrial membrane.
Image Cytometry vs Flow Cytometry – Cell cycle comparison
We have employed an image based system, NucleoCounter® NC-3000™, for quantifying DNA content of different mammalian cell lines stained with DAPI. NC-3000™ demonstrated accurate and precise determination of cell cycle stages compared to flow cytometric analyses (BD LSRII).
Via-Cassette™ – Eliminate human bias in cell counting
The volume calibrated single use Via1-Cassette™ is a true all-in-one solution for optimized cell count. The cassette is a disposable plastic unit that contains the fluorescent dye used for analysis. A cell sample is easily loaded into the cassette by submerging the inbuilt pipette into the cell suspension and pressing the piston.
Reducing cell density in boar semen doses
The NucleoCounter® SP-100™ is a unique cell counter which improves the credibility of the sperm count in a boar semen sample and can provide direct economic advantages. As the co-efficient of variance is below 3%, less cells are needed when producing semen doses to ensure a specific minimum number of cells present in 95% of the doses. Use of an extender does not interfere with the high precision of the SP-100™ as the detection method is direct, using DNA staining by propidium iodide.
Clinical Manufacturing of CAR-T Cells for Adoptive Immunotherapy
Monitoring the whole process from leukapheresis to the formulated product. With the NC-200™ it is easy to monitor all different steps of the purification, expansion and formulation of CAR-T cells using the same instrument to ensure precise and reliable results.
Cell phenotyping protocol for characterizing inherited diseases
In a recent study, Fernandez et al have developed a novel cell phenotyping protocol using the NC-3000™ image cytometer to characterize cellular and mitochondrial parameters in human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs). Their protocol is time saving and requires small amounts of sample for each analysis.
Monitor Microcarrier Cultures
NucleoCounting is an accurate and reliable method for measuring cell count and viability in microcarrier cultures.
The ideal cell counter for GMP environment
The NucleoCounter® is the most precise cell counter in the life science market. It uses the disposable Via1-Cassette™ to combine cell sampling, staining, loading, and counting into one workflow to maximize precision and eliminate human error. Simply insert the Via1-Cassette™ into your cell sample and press the plunger to load your cells.
Precise Viability and Cell Count of even Highly Aggregated Cells
The NucleoCounter® NC-200™ counts nucleated cells, by fluorescent staining of the DNA ensuring only viable cells are counted. With a wide range of specialized assays, the NC-200™ is the perfect cell counter. Sphere cultures or breast cancer cell lines poses great challenges to cell counting, but not for the NC-200™. With our aggregated assay, the NC-200™ counts even the most aggregated cell samples.
VitaBright Stains – for Cytometric Profiling of Apoptosis
VitaBright-43™ and -48™ are cell-permeable maleimide derivatives that react with thiol groups on proteins to give thioester-coupled fluorescent products (Figure 1)1,2. Free thiols play a number of important roles in biology. An example is the predominant cellular oxidant, reduced glutathione (GSH)…
Manual Cell Counting V.S. Automated Cell Counting
Manual cell counting is still the golden standard method of cell counting in many labs, but as presented below, there are several issues with the results obtained by manually counting cells with trypan blue and hemocytometer. Cell counting with image cytometry and the automated cell counters provides a solution to all of these problems.
